My brother has been having issues with the game.

First, it was the dauntless patcher not being able to be run. After many windows updates, it is able to run now as it seems to have the necessary program files. My brother then can customise his character and head into the tutorial.

However after finishing the tutorial and going into town, he gets stuck on the loading screen. Apparently the spinning circle in bottom right just doesn't spin. So it tells me the program has just stopped responding.

We have already fully updated his windows 7. So I'm unsure why the program keeps not being responsive. I'm going to get him to tune down the graphics to see if that helps as the town is quite non optimal in terms of graphics performance. However, is there something else can we try to do? I'm trying to get as many ideas as possible so I can try out different solutions.
