The reason it does not work on full auto is because Canon stopped releasing the SDK. It did not work on my 5D3 either.

It is no big deal. When requested you just have to enter a MFA value 4 times as it runs though it's process. Right now it won't work at all for Canon and MAC Sierra. They are waiting for Canon to release the updated software libraries which was supposed to be in January. I just contacted them and they said within the next few weeks. I just entered my 5D3 values into my 5D4 and it is spot on.

It only really needs it when I use the TC with my 100-400 II. A few things. Lighting is important. You need a bright light on it but I think I read they made some improvements with that. You can use an incandescent light but I picked up a couple of daylight balanced studio bulbs. Can't use fluorescent because it flickers.
