Pentax Serial Number Database

Nov 26, 2011  Does the serial number on a Pentax lenses have a relationship to units made. The DA 18-250 SN = 9101479 and the DA*300 SN = 9055466. Reading other replies it appears that a DA*200 SN starts with 903. And a DA35 SN starts with 927. Welcome to the Pentax Serial Number Database at PentaxForums.com! There appears to be quite some interest in how the K1000 model developed over time. If all owners chime in we should be able to figure this out once and for all.
